Hiring a therapy room

Our practice is a spacious Georgian townhouse with high ceilings, meaning our rooms are lighter and brighter than your average therapy rooms. We’re only a short walk from Angel tube station and in a convenient location for you and your clients.

We have eleven therapy rooms spread over four floors. Four of our rooms are slightly larger spaces and particularly suitable for family, arts or drama therapy sessions, constellation work or small groups. Visit our therapy room gallery for details.

Rolling block room bookings

We rent half day blocks on weekdays and at weekends on a rolling block basis. Our morning (AM) blocks are from 7.30am-1.30pm; our afternoon/evening (PM) blocks run from 2pm until as late as therapists require. If needed, it is possible to see clients earlier than 7.30am.

Hours for weekend blocks are slightly different. Morning (AM) blocks finish at 1pm for an afternoon start time of 1.15pm; or therapists have the option to book a room for a full day.

Ad hoc room bookings

Ad hoc room bookings are available every day to therapists who rent rolling blocks. Ad hocs can be booked with ease via our online booking system. Once you join our practice, our Centre Manager Kate Roberts will give you a member login to access the booking system, together with full written instructions on how to use it.  If a client cancels, we can reimburse your ad hoc booking fee in full if you give us 24 hours notice. Therapists who don’t want to make half or full day block bookings are still welcome to book ad hoc hours, but on weekends only.

Promoting your therapy services

Featuring in our online directory will make it easier for clients to find you, especially since our website investment ensures we remain high in google searches.  However, there are also things therapists can do themselves to promote their private practice. Our free marketing guide, ‘14 ways to get your therapy clients for your private practice’, gives some great starter tips and is available in our therapist membership area.

  • Working from city road allows me the peace of mind to just concentrate on my work. It's reassuring to know that the space will be clean, comfortable, calm and quiet. I also value that the management of the rooms is carefully considered and maintained. It feels cared about - the plants are a joy! The fact that Kate is so helpful and seems to be always around when I call her is a huge bonus, I very much appreciate that.

  • Working as a therapist can be isolating, but at City Road Therapy there's a growing community with regular social meet ups and a google group where we can share information so you get much more than just a room.

  • I have used the therapy rooms for my private practice for over a year now.  The online booking form is very easy to use and the rooms have enough variety in size so that small group work, family and couples work and one to one therapy is possible.
