City Road Therapy – Professional face-to-face & online Therapy in London

Andreea Varga

I am a BACP registered integrative counsellor and psychodynamic therapist who has practised in various sectors, including private, charity and higher education organisations. I am committed to creating a safe and empathic environment in which, through collaborative exploration and reflection of your current circumstances or past experiences, you can raise your awareness of less conscious feelings, patterns of thinking and behaviour. I believe it is when we have access to this kind of understanding that profound changes and self-growth can take place.

Integrative therapy with Andreea

I work in a flexible and relational way, blending humanistic models with psychodynamic counselling approaches and CBT to suit your specific needs. Having worked with a variety of presenting issues in both time-limited and open-ended counselling setups, I am enthusiastic about gaining insight into each client’s sense of identity as well as appreciating their unique voice and cultural perspective.

My approach is client-led and revolves around building a trusting and honest relationship drawing on the core conditions of empathy, undivided attention and non-judgement, to foster personal growth and facilitate change.

Alongside private practice, I supported performance arts and theatre production students with mental health issues, particularly anxiety and panic disorders, low self-esteem, cultural and gender identity, life transitions, family conflicts and relationships, self-harm, suicidal ideation and trauma. This role, in addition to a long career in teaching international students, has helped me recognise our deeply inherent need to feel supported and belong. I believe there is undeniable value in empowering individuals by facilitating a means for their voice to be heard and their genuine, true selves to be acknowledged.

I offer brief and open-ended therapy in person, online or by phone. If you are interested in an initial consultation, email me or leave me a voice message with your details.
