City Road Therapy

Glenn Nicholls

Psychotherapy is about having conversations that break us out of ourselves, our stresses, our stories, our personal drama and fear. The challenge is about seeing a new way of relating to ourselves and others, to life and to the world.

I’ve been an integrative psychotherapist since 1998. I see people face to face and also remotely via telephone, Zoom, FaceTime and Skype. I see individuals, couples for short and long term therapy. I am also a clinical supervisor.

I’m a qualified and experienced executive and leadership coach, and an organisation development consultant. Since my background is in education I’ve continually maintained an involvement in the training of therapists and other healthcare professionals in the UK and Europe. Please enquire if you’re interested in bespoke training or workshops.

I also have a private practice in Cambridge.

Integrative psychotherapy with Glenn

I draw from several theoretical modalities including integrative, psychodynamic, gestalt, object relations, transactional analysis, existential, systemic and transpersonal. I incorporate philosophical ideas into my approach and in particular many of the ideas of Friedrich Nietzsche. I enjoy expressing how I work through creative writing. See my website where you’ll find links to two separate blogs.

I initially trained at The Whittington Hospital NHS Trust as a psychotherapist where I saw self-referred clients and out-patients with complex mental health issues. Amongst other experience I’ve also been a trauma counsellor at TFL.

Since 2011 and every year since I’ve been the Lead Tutor for the Diploma in ‘Integrative Supervision of Individuals and Groups’ at The Grove Practice in central London. Previously (for four years) I was a lecturer at the University of Cambridge teaching on a PG Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling; and before that I was the Principle Tutor training integrative psychotherapists at the Hungarian Gestalt Institute in Budapest.
