Hello and a warm welcome to you!
I am an integrative therapist working with individual adults and couples. My approach is integrative with the weight on person centred. Whilst drawing on a range of thinking, ideas and techniques, it is our therapeutic relationship that is at the heart of our work together.
In life issues can arise for which we are not always prepared. Family and friends can be helpful in these situations but often it is difficult for those emotionally involved to offer the most helpful responses. Talking to someone with an objective ear can help open up to a wider perspective, give support through periods of difficulty and help move forwards with new possibilities.
Integrative therapy with Heidi
As an integrative therapist I draw on ideas such as mindfulness and compassion focussed therapy – as well as attachment, psychodynamic and CBT theory.
Whatever the reason that has brought you to therapy, the process aims at providing this chance for you to express and explore your feelings, thoughts and beliefs. It is often by exploring together in therapy and gaining some insight into why we feel and behave as we do, that we can enable change to take place.
Qualifications and experience
I hold a BSc degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a registered member and fully accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their ethical framework.
