Hi, I’m Jamie. I’m a dramatherapist. You might also call me a Helper for Everyday Heroes.
Most people struggle with insecurities yet put on a brave face when they’re not okay. I help people heal old wounds from the inside-out so they no longer have to pretend. When you’re a hero to many, it can be hard to say “no”, to step away from responsibility, to put yourself first. Without feeling guilty. But carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders is exhausting. Your closest relationships suffer, and ultimately, you suffer. Sick and tired of being sick and tired, you’re now ready to make a change.
I work 1-to-1 with adults from all walks of life who come determined with an open mind. You’re at the right place if you’re ready to look beyond the surface and eager to get to the bottom of things. You want to wake up feeling refreshed and full of energy, be strong on the inside and outside, and feel totally free to be yourself. I can help you get there.
Dramatherapy and counselling with Jamie
It’s completely normal to want to get rid of pain as quickly as possible, like anxiety or depression, but real healing takes place on a deeper level. People who often come to me for support want to tackle the immediate issues that are current and pressing and find personal resolve to the bigger issues rooted in the past. If this sounds like you, you’ll likely appreciate my non-judgemental and supportive counselling style, and creative and thought-provoking therapy approach.
The clients I tend to help, and do my best work with, find ways to manage and overcome the following issues:
Qualifications and experience
Your mental health is my number one top priority.
I maintain a small caseload, attend regular supervision and training (and my own self-care plan) so that you benefit from the highest quality of care. With my unique training background, you can achieve greater healing through talk and creative therapy.
I am a qualified and registered dramatherapist (arts psychotherapist) with over 10 years of experience working in different sectors. Uniquely, I combine traditional and contemporary psychotherapy in my practice. My approach is rooted in attachment theory, creative arts therapies, trauma research, and neuroscience. This means you will be fully supported to heal past trauma and reach your full potential.
