I am a drama and movement therapist (arts psychotherapy). I have experience working with people of all ages, both face-to-face and online. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where I actively listen and connect with each individual client. Therapy involves a commitment of time, money and energy, so it’s important you feel comfortable working with me. I offer a free consultation to learn more about you and why you are seeking therapy at this time, to answer any questions you might have and to think together about how I can help.

Dramatherapy with Kathleen

As a drama and movement therapist, I combine talking with creative exercises to encourage free expression and self-realisation. Often, people find using creative methods help to reflect on their experiences and relationships, to process their thoughts and feelings, which then supports change. My practice is rooted in psychoanalytic and developmental psychology. Creative methods I might use include, movement and visualisations, story and character, drawing and writing. Some people prefer to only talk, and that’s okay. Every session is led by the client. 

Online therapy ensures we are able to work together even if we are in different locations or unable to travel. Video call sessions can also combine talking with creative exercises and guided visualisations.

No drama experience or skills are necessary to participate.

Dramatherapy is an Arts Therapy protected and regulated by the HCPC.

Rates

Initial consultation, 30 minutes via Zoom or face-to-face, free of charge. 

Standard fee is £65 per session. 

I offer a lower rate for students and for those on low income.
