Sometimes we get stuck in the same unhelpful patterns. These may have been useful to us in earlier life but they can hold us back as adults, and hinder us in getting what we want from life. I can work together with you to help you bring any such self-defeating tendencies to your awareness, so you can break these patterns from the past, and live life in a more fulfilling way.
Integrative counselling with Melanie
Therapy can be beneficial for many issues, such as dealing with a personal crisis, tackling the things that are holding you back, coping with difficult emotions, or just feeling lost and out of touch with who you are. Sometimes opening up about these issues and exploring them in a safe and non-judgemental space can be enormously helpful.
As an integrative therapist, I can draw from a variety of approaches, but always with the underlying commitment of supporting you in finding your own solutions and inner resources. We may see how your past experiences have affected you, or we may simply look at the issues that you are experiencing in the present. Whatever your reasons for coming to therapy, we can work together to unlock a way of being and living that works better for you.
I am BACP accredited, and my practice is fully insured and professionally supervised in accordance with BACP guidelines.
