Sometimes in our lives, we experience periods where we need additional support to work through a particular issue. Whilst friends and family can be a huge source of love and support, at times we need someone impartial to help us to make sense of things.
This is where a therapist can have a real impact on your life. I believe that relationships are where we can unravel, and that ultimately they are also where we can mend and heal. The process of healing looks and feels very different for each of us, but I feel that therapy, at the right time in your life, can provide a sacred space which is conducive to such healing, propelling you into new ways of being.
Integrative counselling with Rachael
I’m Rachael, an integrative counsellor with a Clinical PGDip in Integrative and Psychodynamic Counselling, and several years’ experience in both the private and voluntary sectors. I offer counselling to individuals, and can work both long-term and short-term. I offer a space that is safe and calm, non-judgemental and confidential, so that you may share whatever is going on for you. I consider you to be the expert on your life, and my role is to sit alongside you, as we make sense together, as an act of collaboration and co-creation.
I work slowly and mindfully, and encourage creative processes and use techniques such as mindfulness and bodywork. If you are interested in meeting, we would have an exploratory consultation where we establish if we can work together. We would then agree on a day and time for us to meet weekly for a 50-minute session.
