City Road Therapy – Professional face-to-face & online Therapy in London

Teresa Cannon

Choosing a therapist as well as the type of therapy can feel quite daunting. My approach is grounded in working with you as an individual – a process that aims to clarify and illuminate issues central to you in a way that is non-judgmental and down to earth.

What works for one person may not work for another and as such my approach is flexible and adapted according to your needs. Together we will work to develop a deepening awareness of aspects of your life that you may find problematic or confusing, allowing you to engage with your choices and ultimately to decide how you want to live in order to meet the challenges of your life, with greater recognition of your resources and strengths.

Existential psychotherapy with Teresa

Existential psychotherapy asks us to consider our values, and what really matters to us. You are invited to examine your life and encouraged to live courageously, responsibly, and with authenticity. Whatever the issue, you are taking it seriously enough to do some research on psychotherapists.

Therapy is different to talking to your family and friends. They may have strong views or a stake in your decisions. I know the value of listening to your concerns attentively, without judging or wanting a certain outcome. If we choose to work together, I will help you to explore, clarify, manage or resolve whatever is happening in your life.

Within my private practice I have extensive experience working with HNWI’s and their families, in addition to working with NGOs, front line organisations and crisis and emergency response workers.

I have a background in international affairs, banking and finance and tech start-up and have lived and worked throughout Africa, the Middle East, SE Asia and the United States.

I work actively in the performing arts, in particular dance, and welcome clients from the creative arts and entrepreneurial professions.
