As an integrative psychotherapist, I have been trained in, and have experience of, offering a range of therapies which I can tailor to your individual needs and circumstances.
Integrative and family/systemic psychotherapy with Claudine
In open-ended psychotherapy, there is space to consider the dark aspects of our beings as much as those in the light. This can involve a process of trusting the wisdom of the psyche as revealed in symbolic and imaginal process. I value the place of imagination in the therapeutic process as this process can allow a move away from the rational mind in order to access our own inner source of healing and wisdom and can be very useful when working with internal conflict.
As a family and systemic psychotherapist, I can facilitate a space to view your relationships from a new perspective. he work is collaborative and invites you and your partner or other members of your family to feel more comfortable to experiment with new ideas. Part of the work involves identifying and working with unhelpful or stuck patterns in the relationship that may initially seem difficult to shift. The opportunity to reflect on intergenerational beliefs and values around relationships is a useful part of this process and can reflect how our ideas of the world have been shaped.

Issues I help with
- I specialise in relationships, inner relationships such as internal conflict and outer relationships including couples, family psychotherapy and intergenerational experiences.
- I am particularly interested in working with the impact of neglect, abuse and trauma as these experiences are so closely related to struggles in relating to the self and others, addictions and other self soothing practices, struggles with emotions (anxiety, depression, rage, shame, zoning out) and how these experiences can limit thinking and expectations in life.
- I am also interested in working with bereavement and loss and how this can influence our current lives and relationships, particularly when feeling ‘stuck’ in grief and unable to fully engage in life and relationships.
