    Daniel Wiegand

I am a qualified person-centred therapist who works with adults on a short or long term basis providing support with a wide range of issues.  I have worked for many years as a therapist and a volunteer for the LGBTQ+ community both here in London and in New York City.  In NYC, I also studied Focusing-Oriented Therapy which means I work in a very mindful way, paying attention to what our feelings and bodily held experiences are trying to communicate to us.

    Person-centred therapy with Daniel

My philosophy as a person-centred therapist is that every individual strives for and has the capacity to fulfil their own potential.  By providing you with empathy, compassion and acceptance, I can help you understand your thoughts and experiences better and so aid your growth towards this potential.  The relationship between client and therapist in the person-centred approach is a massively important factor.  It is our relationship; our connection, that can help and heal.

    Counselling can give you:

    • more inner resources and more ability to cope
    • an improved relationship with yourself and with others
    • a greater understanding of your emotions and experiences
    • a sense of relief through sharing a burden and being heard and understood.
