I am an existential psychotherapist. In the existential model there are no right or wrong choices in how we live our lives. There are only the decisions we as individuals are comfortable living with. These choices can cause distress when they conflict with who you are as an individual. My approach is not to tell you what to do but to explore a way of living that is meaningful and works for you, not anyone else.
Existential psychotherapy with Roger
My clinical experience stems from working with adults in a variety of charitable services and NHS settings. I work across a wide range of issues including substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, self-harm and stress. I offer psychological therapy to men and women struggling to cope with difficult events in their lives who want a safe, confidential space to speak with a professional, ethical clinician. I will work closely with you to meet your therapy goals at a pace that works best for you. Everyone has different needs and my approach will be tailored to meet your requirements.
I work primarily from an existential perspective that focuses on helping you find a meaningful life that works for you. My clinical experience and training have also given me experience with CBT, psychodynamic and relational therapies. In a supportive and empathic space, we will work together to explore the issues causing you concern in your life.
I have a background in the banking industry and worked for several leading investment banks. Having worked in the industry for 13 years I have significant experience of the stresses and pressures these environments carry with them.
